GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Pacman Growth Regulator is a systemic growth regulator designed to reduce internode lengths of new shoots and promote earlier formation of terminal buds in trees. It is best suited for intensively managed orchards where trees are approaching their optimum size. Not suitable for old or unhealthy trees, and should not be used if trees are under stress.

CAUSES OF STRESS:

• Moisture shortage (lack of rain or inadequate irrigation)
• High temperature
• Salinity
• Moisture excess (water table, flooding, or inappropriate irrigation)
• Severe or successive frosts
• Poor fertility (imbalance of major or minor nutrients)
• Diseases, insects, inappropriate herbicide use
• Mechanical damage

TREE MANAGEMENT:

• Treated trees may produce heavier crops, necessitating higher fertilizer application.
• Ensure treated trees are not over-watered or subjected to drought stress.
• Excess fruit set may occur; pay attention to thinning operations.
• When replanting a treated orchard, allow at least 3 years to elapse since the last Pacman application.
• In orchards treated with collar drenches of Pacman, fresh soil should be provided for tree establishment.

MIXING:

• Foliar Sprays:
  • Mix Pacman in a clean bucket of water.
  • Add slurry to a half-filled spray tank of clean water.
  • Add the required non-ionic wetter (1000g/L) during filling.
  • Agitate continuously during filling.
  • Wash out the spray tank after use.
