Technical Details & Formulation
- Technical Name: Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC
- Formulation: ZC (a mix of capsule suspension and suspension concentrate)
- Mode of Action: Dual contact and systemic action. Thiamethoxam moves systemically through plant tissues to disrupt the insect nervous system, while lambda-cyhalothrin provides fast knockdown contact activity by penetrating the insect cuticle.
- Key Benefit: Provides a phytotonic effect, promoting greener, healthier crop growth.
Common Uses & Target Pests
- Cotton: Aphids, jassids, thrips, and bollworms (80 ml per acre)
- Chilli & Tomato: Thrips, fruit borer, whitefly, and mites (50–80 ml per acre)
- Soybean: Stem fly, semilooper, girdle beetle, and pod borer (50–80 ml per acre)
- Maize: Aphids, shoot fly, and stem borer (50 ml per acre)
Application & Dosage
- General Dosage: Mix 50 to 80 ml per acre, or roughly 0.25 to 0.5 ml per liter of water depending on the specific crop and pest intensity. For knapsack sprayers, use about 6 to 7.5 ml per 15-liter pump.
- Best Time to Spray: Apply as a foliar spray at the first sign of pest pressure or when the pest population reaches the Economic Threshold Level. Avoid spraying during active flowering or bee pollination.
